On August 14, the 2025 "Qinqing Zhonghua • Chinese Roots-Seeking Journey" Summer Camp, hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Federation and Nanchang Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, officially commenced at the High-tech Campus of Jiangxi Normal University Affiliated High School. Twenty-seven overseas Chinese youth and team leaders from the UK, the Netherlands, and Italy gathered in Nanchang, the "Hero City," embarking on a cross-continental journey to trace their roots.

Wang Sikai, a student from the UK, could barely contain his excitement: "My mother is from Nanchang. Stepping onto the land of Nanchang and hearing the familiar dialect instantly made me feel settled, as if I had returned to another home."

Camp representative Zeng Yihang from Italy shared his enthusiasm and aspirations: "I hope to gain knowledge, forge friendships, and create lasting memories of youth in Nanchang. I aim to find my cultural roots and strengthen the core of my Chinese identity." Team leader representative Liu Yan from the Netherlands expressed gratitude for the meticulous arrangements, stating that this roots-seeking journey would serve as a starting point to carry the stories of Jiangxi and the heritage of Chinese civilization, writing a vibrant chapter for overseas Chinese youth.

Following the opening ceremony, camp members visited the Nanchang Aviation Science and Innovation City Planning Exhibition Center, learning about China's aviation industry development and viewing models of the domestically produced ARJ21 and C919 aircraft. Overseas Chinese youth and local students jointly launched handcrafted paper airplanes, symbolizing their pursuit of aviation dreams. Shen Haotian from the UK remarked, "Witnessing the progress of China's aviation technology fills me with pride. I hope to contribute to the nation's aviation industry in the future."

On the afternoon of August 13, camp members gathered at the Jiangxi Provincial Museum for a cultural exploration spanning three millennia. They explored the exhibition "Jiangnan in Splendor: Xin'gan Grand Tomb and the Bronze Kingdom" and the "Jiangnan's Ancient History and Culture" gallery. Standing before precious artifacts, they listened intently to docents recount historical tales, immersing themselves in Jiangxi's profound heritage. Many remarked, "These relics showcase not only Jiangxi's long history but also the multifaceted yet unified evolution of Chinese civilization."

As night fell, camp members headed to Qishui Square to enjoy a musical fountain show. Water jets danced in harmony with the rhythm of the music, interwoven with multicolored lights, creating a dream-like spectacle. They captured the magical moments with their phones to preserve the memories.

Organized by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, with the Jiangxi Provincial Federation and Nanchang Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese serving as local hosts, this 10-day summer camp is themed "Shared Roots, Shared Soul, Shared Dream." It features a "culture + practice" curriculum: camp members will visit Tengwang Pavilion to appreciate the poetic beauty of "swan soaring through sunset-lit clouds," explore the Western Han Dynasty Haihunhou Kingdom Site Museum to touch the legacy of Han civilization, participate in porcelain plate painting and tea-picking opera workshops, and visit landmarks like the Nanchang Urban Planning Exhibition Center and Wanshou Palace Historical-Cultural District.
